La Bataille de Gaulle: Two-Part Film Presentation at SFU Woodward’s

Antonin Baudry’s two-part historical film La Bataille de Gaulle tells the story of Charles de Gaulle’s refusal to accept France’s 1940 armistice and his efforts to continue the fight. The films also bring attention to resistance fighters from Africa and France’s colonies, a lesser-known part of the Second World War. This is the films’ first presentation in Western Canada. Both films are screened in French with English subtitles.

Thursday, November 12 at 6:30 pm Part 1: The Iron Age (Resistance) Friday, November 13 at 6:30 pm Part 2: I Write Your Name (Freedom)

Individual tickets are available, as well as a $25 double ticket for both screenings.
